"Wave of Emotion"- created by BB Art Haven, a local artist (Titusville) and an SPCA foster.
24 in x 20 in acrylic painting on stretched canvas, no frame
Bio: I started creating art in early 2023 as a way to cope with my divorce. I am a social worker by training and know how therapeutic art can be for others, so I started playing around with acrylic pouring. I quickly discovered that I love it! My favorite thing to paint is what I call the BB Wave, as I love the ocean and water. I am inspired by another one of my favorite sayings "One Change At A Time", meaning... all it takes is one change at a time to better yourself. I started to better myself and take care of myself by finding non-traditional therapeutic outlets, including art. I can slowly start to change my perspective and happiness with one brush stroke at a time, one task at a time, one sentence at a time, or one minute at a time if I have to. You do not have to conquer everything at once! My art has unique names as it depicts whatever I am feeling at the time, a past feeling, something that has inspired me, or something I am thinking about. I now have embraced more than acrylic pouring and have painted other coastal like art. I recognize that art is unique in that it can mean whatever moves you at the time and might give you a different feeling then it gives me. I hope it is as therapeutic to you as it is for me.
Wave of Emotion, was created in March of 2024 and was created shortly after the passing of my beloved Vizsla named Emma, and the passing of my grandmother within 4 days of each other. I was definitely going through a "Wave of Emotion" at the time.
I chose to donate this piece to SPCA as I am a foster and see the joy fostering brings to people, and the joy adoption also brings, as all my animals have been adopted! I truly believe in what SPCA is doing and am excited at the opportunity for someone to bring home this piece of art.
